These Terms and Conditions govern the use of https://asbestosacademy.ca/ (the “Site”). The Site is owned and operated by Asbestos Academy BC. The Site offers ecommerce access to safety training services.
By using this Site or completing a booking or payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Asbestos Academy BC provides safety and certification training services. Enrollment is confirmed upon successful payment and includes immediate seat reservation and delivery of enrollment confirmation, course details, and participation requirements.
Course dates, locations, instructors, and delivery format may be updated or modified to meet operational or regulatory requirements.
We accept payment through Square and its supported payment methods, including credit card, debit, e transfer, and Afterpay.
By submitting payment, you authorize Asbestos Academy BC to charge the selected payment method for the amount due. Payment constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. No signature is required.
All course payments are final and non refundable, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
If a participant cannot attend for any reason, the default remedy is a Course Credit for the same course type. Course Credits do not expire and are non refundable.
If Asbestos Academy BC cancels a course and cannot offer a comparable session within a reasonable time, the participant may choose either a Course Credit or a refund to the original payment method.
Certification is not guaranteed. Participants must attend 100% of scheduled training hours, complete all required assessments, and pass applicable exams. Failure to attend, complete requirements, or pass exams does not entitle the participant to a refund or course credit, except where required by law.
Asbestos Academy BC maintains enrollment confirmations, attendance records, and completion documentation. These records may be used to verify delivery of training services in the event of a billing or payment dispute.
Participants must follow instructor direction, comply with safety requirements, and behave professionally. Participants may be removed for disruptive behaviour, intoxication, safety violations, or refusal to comply. Removal for cause does not entitle the participant to a refund or course credit, except where required by law.
Reasonable accommodations are provided in accordance with the British Columbia Human Rights Code. Accommodations relate to participation in training and do not include refunds or fee changes, except where required by applicable law.
All content published on this Site, including text, images, logos, documents, and downloadable materials, is the property of Asbestos Academy BC and may not be used without written permission.
Asbestos Academy BC is not liable for damages arising from the use of this Site or from reliance on training information beyond its intended instructional purpose, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Where the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act or other applicable consumer protection legislation applies, these Terms and Conditions do not limit statutory rights and remedies.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
